This is the first day of your journey as per the itinerary. Welcome to beautiful Nepal from Sherpa Discovery Treks. After arriving at the Katmandu airport, our company employee will meet you. After all the necessary work like security and baggage checking, we’ll drive to the hotel (3 stars).
Get some rest and have some refreshments. You will have your own single room with all kinds of facilities and services. Meanwhile, in the evening, you may stroll around the Thamel and New Road area of Kathmandu.
Our company representative will pick you up around 7 am in the morning. After having breakfast, we will be escorted to the bus station to catch a luxurious tourist bus.
The tourist bus has comfortable seats, wide opened windows that provide majestic views during 7-8 hours of driving. After 3-4 hours of drive, we have a stopover for lunch.
At the end of the day, we’ll reach Pokhara. It is the most famous place known for panoramic views of mountains, lakes, nightlife and many more. We’ ll have a night’s stay at a lake-side hotel.
Today is the first day of our trekking. After having a quick breakfast, we’ll drive to Birethani in a shared jeep or taxi. It is a small and beautiful settlement which is 45-46 approximately away from Pokhara.
After reaching Birethani, we’ll relax, and have yummy lunch in the tea house. Here you can also refill your water bottles.
The distance from Birethani to Ulleri covers approximately 5-6 hours. Ulleri is the place where the distinctive 3000 stone steps ascend above. There is a popular quote which will match here “Slow and Steady wins the race”. Soon the day ends, and we’ll reach Ulleri, where we have an overnight stay and dinner.
Hope you all are enjoying the tour. Today is the day 4th of our journey. We have lots of thrills and adventures in the next few days. After taking a quick breakfast, we left the Ulleri and headed towards Ghorepani.
For the first two hours of talk, we have a gentle ascent passing slowly admiring the beautiful rhododendron and oak forests. After reaching Banthani, we’ll rest for some time.
After having lunch, our trail continues we’ll explore waterfalls, streams rivers Nangethani.
We’ll have a delightful walk from Nanghetani. The trail again takes you through beautiful rhododendron forests.
After arriving at Ghorepani, we’ll have impeccable views of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli and several other peaks. We’ll have a night stay and a dinner at tea house.
The trek starts early in the morning. Today we will witness the fantastic sunrise from the Poonhill. After waking up, you’ll hike to the poonhill that will be very refreshing for us. You’ll see several fellow trekkers walking with you.
We spend 2-3 hours at Poonhill. This is the perfect site to take photographs and make several unforgettable memories.
After soaking in warm sun rays and witnessing mountains and scenes from this vantage point, we’ll return to Ghorepani, where we have tasty food.
From Ghorepani, we’ll ascend our feet upwards. Admiring the rhododendron, oak and juniper forests before reaching Deurali.
From Deurali, the trail goes down to Banthani and eventually to Tadapani.
We are almost in the middle of our Annapurna Base Camp trek. The hike from Tadapani to Sinuwa covers a distance of 8-10 kilometers which has to be covered in 6-7 hours.
Our beautiful day begins with a mouthwatering breakfast. We then descend our steps from Tadapani. After passing along the rhododendron forests, we reach the beautiful settlement Chuile which offers breathtaking views of valleys and landscapes.
As we move our steps forward, we’ll pass through a long suspension bridge which takes us through the elegant settlement Ghurjung. This is the prime village of the Gurung community. We’ll take some time to explore this beautiful place.
After walking for some hours, we’ll reach to Chhomrong – a popular stoppage of Annapurna region trekking.
Upon admiring the scenery and mountain views, we left behind this place after crossing the Choomrong Khola River.
After some hours of uphill walking from Choomrong, we’ll get to our today destination Sinuwa.
We are on the day 7th of our Annapurna Base Camp trek. We are gradually and steadily moving to our destination. After eating a healthy breakfast, our journey continues.
On day seven we have uphill climbing. It takes around 6-7 hours to reach the destination. After starting our journey, we’ll again pass through beautiful rhododendrons and bamboo forests.
After crossing the lush green forests, we’ll take some rest. Lately, we’ll forward the steps on the west side by following the elegant waterfalls. The diverse range of flora & fauna makes you mesmerize throughout your hiking. The trail slowly goes up to Hinko Cave – a natural wonder situated in the mountains.
After the day ends, we’ll reach Deurali, where have relaxation and refreshment through tasty meal and comfortable beds.
Today’s trek takes us from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp. The 8th day of Aannapurna Base Camp trek will be most amazing, adventurous and unforgettable for us.
We have to cover a distance of approx 8 kilometres. The hikes take around 5-6 hours to reach the destination. The route will be challenging but equally rewarding.
After taking an early morning meal, we’ll forward our steps. We reach Machhapucchre Base Camp (3,700 meters) before getting to Annapurna Base Camp.
Subsequently reaching Machhapucchre Base Camp, we’ll take a rest for a while. Upon that with full joyous and excitement, we reach Annapurna Base camp, which has an elevation of 4,130 meters. It is also called Annapurna Sanctuary.
From the top of the base camp, you’ll have 360-degree views of mountains like Annapurna, Gangapurna, Annapurna South, Annapurna I and other surrounding peaks.
Now it’s time to descend. We follow the same trail and down back to bamboo. We have to cover the distance of 12-13 kilometers approximately within 6-7 hours of walking.
Before reaching Bamboo, we’ll pass through lush green and dense forest. The trails are not too tough. It is quite manageable.
During hiking, we’ll also see the elegance of Sinuwa and Khuldihar. At the end of the day, we’ll get in Bamboo. We’ll have a night’s stay and a delicious meal at the tea house.
It will take around 4-5 hours to reach Jhinu from Bamboo. After having a morning breakfast, we’ll forward our steps to reach today’s destination.
We’ll follow the same trail until Chomrong. Then our team passes through rhododendrons, bamboo and oak forests and eventually hot springs at Jhinu Dada. Meanwhile, the day ends; we reach the tea house for a night stay and food.
This is the last day of our trek. After enjoying our morning meal, we’ll walk on the north side of the Modi Khola River until we reach Syauli.
Upon getting there, we have refreshments and a day meal at the hotel. Soon after, we drive to Pokhara. It takes 3-4 hours in a public vehicle.
After getting to Pokhara, you may visit the city or stroll around the lakeside. We’ll have a night stay at a lakeside hotel.
We’ll drive back to Kathmandu through a luxurious tourist bus. We’ll check into the same hotel which we follow on day 1. After taking a rest for a while, you may visit some UNESCO sites of Katmandu which include Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square or Swaymbhunath Temple. Additionally, you may also buy unique souvenirs and gifts for your family from the bustling market Thamel.
We’ll serve you delicious morning meal. Then our company representative will transfer you to the airport; 3-4 hours before your flight time. Safe Journey.
There are four main seasons in Nepal. Spring (March-May), autumn (Sep-Nov, winter (Dec-Feb), and Monsoon (June-August). You better choose right season for the ABC trek. Here are all details information.
Spring (March, April & May) – The spring is the peak season for Aannapurna Base Camp Trek. This is the busiest month due to the pleasant weather and clear skies. The majority of trekkers choose this season because they want to indulge in nature by adoring the rhododendron forests. Besides, you’ll also get spectacular views of beautiful mountains and landscapes. Furthermore, the stunning scenery gives trekkers outstanding photograph opportunities.
Trekking in Autumn (September, October, November): My favourite season is Autumn (Sep-Nov) for the ABC trek, 13 days. This season falls after monsoon. That means, there are very less chances of rain, cool & warm temperatures. There are no issues of landslides, flows during hiking activities.
Autumn is the promising season to stay Nepal. During your hiking, you’ll see different vibrant and major festivals of Nepal – Dashain (worshipping goddess durga), Tihar, Bhai Tika, Gobardhan Puja and other which followed by Hindu religions. You also have a golden chance to know the culture, traditions and custom’s of Nepal.
Trekking ABC in winter (Dec to February): Embarking on Annapurna Base Camp in winter is a rewarding but equally challenging. The Temperature during winter is harsh even in daytime. It ranges from 0 to 5 Celsius and -10 to -15 during nighttime. This season is not recommended for inexperienced hikers. If you want to feel heaven on earth, you may explore the Annapurna during the winter season. Monsoon (Rainy Season): Monsoon can be the last best option for Annapurna Base Camp trek. You can plan your trek anytime in the year. However, monsoon is not optimal season. Here are the reasons

The drinking water is easily available during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Throughout the route, you’ll find small tea houses, lodges and shops where you can easily purchase. However, the prices may ranges from 100 to 300 also varying on the altitudes.
There are majority of tea houses and shops also offers boiled water to the hikers. It will be helpful and best for your health. After boiling, it kills the bacteria and microorganism and becomes safe for the consumption.
It will be better; if you refill the bottle when you are in the lower region. Aside from this, you may also use water purification tablets which you can easily purchase in Kathmandu.

Lunch & Dinner – The Lunch & Dinner are regarded as the primary food of Nepal. We usually provides Dal, Bhat, Tarkari – a wholesome full with all nutritional value. There are varieties of side dishes included: Fish/Mutton/Chicken curry, Spinach, pickles and curd’s.
Some other Food & Snacks: Although Dal, Bhat, Tarkari aka Rice, Lentils & Vegetables are main food of Nepal. Even foreign trekker’s also preferred. Aside from this, you may try some other delicious meals items
