Let’s start the world’s most impeccable and thrilling journey. During the spring and Autumn, our trip starts fairly early in the morning. We’ll have a direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, or we’ll route to Manthali 4-5 hours by driving and re-route to Lukla by flight.
The journey from Kathmandu to Lukla will be around 30-35 minutes by flight. If you travel from December to Feb, we have a direct flight to Lukla from the capital city of Nepal.
Lukla is the starting point for the Everest Base Camp trek. After reaching there, we’ll rest for some time. Upon that, we’ll take our steps to Phakding.
During our hiking, we’ll see the majestic valleys, lush green forest and several small monasteries. At the end of the day, we’ll reach Phakding, where we’ll have a night’s stay and a delicious dinner.
(Note: To avoid lengthy and complicated drive; you can easily book Helicopter from Kathmandu to Lukla. However, you have to pay extra charges for it.)
We’ll continue our Short Everest Base Camp trek on the second day. After taking a morning meal, we follow the Dudhkoshi river and, crossing a couple of suspension bridges, we’ll reach the Sagarmatha National Park. It is UNESCO-listed and home to several wildlife animals, flora & fauna, and different species of birds.
After showing documents and taking permits, we’ll take our step ahead. With 5-6 hours of walking, we will all be at Namche Bazar. It is a promising place and the centre of attraction of the Khumbu region. Furthermore, it is also known as the gateway to Everest.
We’ll have a night stay at the Namche Bazar. It is the premier stoppage for shopping, restaurants, cafés, ATM centre and many more.
Our trek will continue on the third day. After taking an appetizing breakfast, we’ll forward our steps towards Tengboche.
During our hike, we’ll have breathtaking views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. Additionally, we’ll also see pine, oak and rhododendron forests. If you are lucky enough, you may see some wildlife animals like Thar, Musk Deer or sloth bear. After arriving at our destination, we’ll visit Tengboche Monastery. It is one of the sacred and oldest Buddhist sites of Nepal.
After exploring and visiting, we’ll have a comfortable stay and a mouthwatering dinner at the tea house.
Hope you all are enjoying the journey. Our trek will continue on day 4 as well. Today, we’ll start early in the morning. We’ll move through Deboche by exploring alpine and juniper forests.
We’re moving forward Lobuche river bank, and finally Imja Valley. We’ll have lunch here. After taking a food break and resting for some time, we entered the Imja Khola via a suspension bridge to reach today’s destination.
Before reaching Dingboche, we’ll be mesmerised by seeing the elegant houses inscribed with stones (the residence of Sherpa’s). While moving ahead, you’ll see the gigantic beauty of Ama Dablam.
At the end of the day, we’ll reach Dingboche. We have a night stay and a night meal. After taking a meal, you may prepare for the next day or go for a campfire.
To date, we have explored Lukla, visited Phakding, Namche, and Tengboche. It’s a time trek from Dingboche to Lobuche. Following the daily routine, we forward our steps after having breakfast.
Today, we have to cover the distance of 9 kilometres within 5-6 hrs approximately. We’ll pass through Pheriche village. Soon, we will see the Khumbu glaciers that take us to the Thukla Hills. At this place, you’ll see the memorial status of brave climbers who left the world during Everest trekking.
Meanwhile in the evening, we’ll reach Lobuche and have a delicious dinner. You better be sleep ASAP because the day 6th of the Everest short base camp trek (tomorrow) going to be challenging but equally rewarding.
Finally, the day has come. Today, we are going to trek Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters). After taking a breakfast, we’ll leave Lobuche.
After walking along the Khumbu glacier, we’ll reach Gorakshep. Upon having a lunch and some rest, we forward our steps for the Everest Base Camp. The trails are challenging and bit slippery.
After getting to the Everest Base Camp, you’ll know “Heaven is a Myth and Nepal’s is true”. We’ll see the massive views of breathtaking mountains like Mt. EVEREST, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse Ama Dablam and other surrounding peaks. After taking photographs and making lots of memories; we’ll step down to Gorakshep for overnight stay.
Today’s going to be a fabulous day for us. We are going to Kala Patthar (5,644 meters), the vantage point of the Everest Base Camp. We’ll wake up early morning around 3-4 am. After getting ready, we’ll reach to Kalapatthar and witness beautiful sunrise from 5,644 meters.
It is going to be the best day of your life. You’ll be mesmerized by seeing the gigantic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and other surrounding peaks. After spending some time and taking photographs, we’ll return back to Gorakshep. We’ll have delicious lunch at this place. After taking a rest for some time, we’ll trek down to Pheriche for overnight stay.
Our adventurous Everest Base Camp short trek is not over yet. Today is the second last day of our trek. After taking a breakfast, we’ll drive our steps downwards. Our trails are going to be a short and easy. Although, it will take around 7-8 hours. However, we will walk slowly and steadily.
After exploring majestic mountains, elegant settlements, a diverse range of flora & fauna, finally, we’ll reach, Namche Bazar. If you have time, you may stroll around the market of this place. You may also buy gifts and souvenir’s for your family.
This is the final day of your trek and adventure has not ended yet. You will step down to the Dudhkoshi valley, as we pass through beautiful villages, stunning landscapes and charming forests. This is also the right time to make countless memories.
After walking for 6-7 hrs, we’ll finally reach Lukla. We have a night stay and yummy dinner at this place.
Our trek concludes here. After taking a flight direct from Lukla or via Manthali, we’ll reach Katmandu. Upon reaching here, we’ll follow the same hotel. If we have time, we may visit some UNESCO sites of Kathmandu that include: Pashupatinath Mandir, Swaymbhunath, Bouudha and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
In the evening, we’ll organize a cultural program for you. Furthermore, you will also enjoy the Nepali cuisine Thakali. The food includes Rice, Lentils, Seasonal Vegetables, Fish/Mutton/Chicken curry, Spinach, Curd, Nepali Pickles, and sweet desserts.

KalaPatthar – KalaPatthar is a renowned and famous view point of Everest trekking region. On your 7th day of the trek, you’ll able to explore this place. It has an elevation of 5,640 meters. It offers you 360 degree views of iconic mountains like Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse.
Khumjung Village – Khumjung is a beautiful settlement of the Everest trekking region. Once you reach this place, you’ll be wondered and amazed by seeing the natural beauty and stunning environment.

Tengboche: Tengboche is a renowned stoppage on a way to Everest Base Camp Short Trek. You will spend a night at this place during your trekking. It has the elevation of 3,867 meters. This promising place is also popular for its Tengboche monastery. The distance between Namche and Tengboche is around 10 kilometers. It is situated at the base of Imja Khola.

The drinking water is easily available throughout the Everest route. You’ll find small tea houses, lodges and shops where you can easily purchase. However, the prices may ranges from 200 to 400 NPR also varying on the altitudes.
There are majority of tea houses and shops also offers boiled water to the hikers. It will be helpful and best for your health. After boiling, it kills the bacteria and becomes safe for the consumption.
It will be better; if you refill the bottle when you are in the lower region. Aside from this, you may also use water purification tablets which you can easily purchase in Kathmandu.

Breakfast: It is the first meals of the day. Usually, we serve around 6-8 a.m. It is filled with full of nutrition’s, proteins and high dietary fiber that energizes you all the day. Here are the food menus:
Lunch, Dinner or other Snacks: A Lunch is the main meal course of Nepal. A healthy and proper day meal plays a key role throughout hiking for trekker’s. Dal, Bhat, Trakari aka Rice, Lentils, Vegetables is the main food of Nepal. Usually, the foreign trekker’s also prefer this meal.
Aside from this, you may have several other delicious meals
Nepal has basically 4 seasons – Spring (March, April & May), Autumn (Sep, Oct, Nov), Winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) and Monsoon (Jun, July, August). You may trek to Everest Base camp throughout all the years. However, we recommending you which season are best and why?
Spring (March to May) – If you are planning for Everest Base Camp trek, the spring would be the best option for you. During this time, the weather is mild and favourable to the hikers. The skies are clear and there are less chances of rain. In addition, throughout the trekking route, you’ll be overwhelmed by seeing the blossoming rhododendron forests, flawless mountains and many more.
Autumn ( Sep-Nov) – Autumn can be a promising time for the short trekking in the Everest region. The monsoon has just ended. The weather becomes cool and pleasant. Furthermore, there is no chance of rain. As a result, your trek becomes impeccable and hassle-free. Besides this, there are no any obstacles like mudflows, slippery trails or landslides throughout the journey. Winter Season (Dec, Jan, Feb) – Extreme low temperature, chilling weather and heavy snow fall are the characteristics of winter season. If you are planning to trek during late Dec to Feb; you have to face these severe problems.

Monsoon (June, July, and August): Monsoon is the 4th best option for the Everest Base Camp short trek. There are very less number of trekker’s during the rainy season.
During these months there are high probabilities of rain everywhere. As a result, trekkers faces the problems of landslides, mud flows, slippery trails, flight cancellation and several other issue.

You have to take permission from the Nepal tourism authority to conquer trek in the Everest region. There are two necessary permits.
These both permits can be easily obtained from Kathmandu, Nepal Tourism Board or also from Monjo or Lukla. The tourism board takes permits to built trails, infrastructure and overall development of the people of that area.
For the Khumbu Pasang you have to pay around 2000-3000 NPR. For Sagarmatha National Park Permit one has to pay 2500-3000 NPR (EXCLUDING vat).
